The  Gift of Courage (also knows as Fortitude) gives us the strength “to overcome difficulties or to endure pain and suffering with the strength and power infused by God.”
Spiritual Theology by Father Jordan Aumann

As we begin our year of preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation we start to look at our faith in a deeper way. St. Paul wrote, “When I was a child, I used to think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things” (1 Corinthians 13:11). As you prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation many changes are happening in your life. Not only are you maturing in your personal life from a child to a young adult as you embrace all that high school has to offer you, but you are also being given the opportunity to mature in your faith life too! This is a very exciting time. Although we don’t always realize it, God and the Church want to join us in every step of our journey of life. As we journey together, every month we will focus on one of the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit you will receive at Confirmation. As a parish, we will provide with some videos, music, prayers, and readings to guide you along the way. Please take time embrace each of the activities below. Each section has a follow activity that you will be asked to respond to. If you have any questions along the way, please contact us. We are here to help!
